Graham 150
On Saturday, I had the pleasure of shooting my first NASCAR event, during the Graham Tires 150 at the Iowa Speedway in Newton. Sixteen-year-old Chase Elliott, son of legendary NASCAR driver Bill Elliott won the event. I have a feeling he’ll be a pretty big name in a few years.

Fire and ice
The second-annual Battle of the Badges charity hockey game was held in Mason City on Saturday, Jun. 21, 2012. The game, which features Mason City’s finest vs. MC’s firefighters, has become a popular event in North Iowa. Proceeds from the fund raising game go to the North Iowa Make-A-Wish organization.
